FREE

In the stillness of prayer, it's just you and me. No judges no jury, no philosophies. No doctrines, no rules, when I'm down on my knees. Bathed in your spirit I know that I'm free. Free to be broken, free to be whole, freed by the grace that paid for my soul. Free to accept the lost and forgotten, free to raise up the beat and down trodden. Despite my new birth, this road isn't easy. The mountains are spires, the valleys are lonely. But over the next ridge I hear a voice singing...come to me child, come and be free. Your acceptance is stirring, your compassion so deep, in the blood that was shed you remind me I'm free. Free from the chains this world had be bound in. Look at me brothers, I'm not who I have been. Look at me sisters, I'm not what I have been. I'm free.
